Florentino Perez will let Real Madrid ace move to Old Trafford

Reports in Spain have linked the France international with a move to Manchester, despite being a regular for the Champions League winners.

According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid are looking to strengthen their defence in this transfer window after conceding 50 goals in 38 La Liga games.

Skipper Sergio Ramos is guaranteed a place in Julen Lopetegui’s team next season.

Lopetegui is also eager to keep Spain international Nacho and Jesus Vallejo at the Bernabeu and  could  lead to Varane being sold.

And Diario Gol says Perez will let Varane move to United if Mourinho stumps up a hefty transfer fee.

United attempted to sign the French defender from Lens in 2011 but were surpassed to the deal by Real Madrid, during Mourinho time as the Los blancos manager.
