Manchester United close to deal for Jerome Boateng

Manchester United have already completed deals for Porto right-back Diogo Dalot and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred and yet close to another

Bayern defender Boateng is near to be United third summer signing that's according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.

It say Mourinho has been give the green light for Red Devils transfer chiefs to seal a transfer for the former City defender in the coming weeks.

Don Balon also claim that Real Madrid are also keen to sign 29-year-old.

However Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has been vocal on Boateng’s future in recent weeks, with the Bundesliga giants claiming the defender will be sold for the right price.

“If a club comes to us and he says that he wants to join that club, then we will negotiate,” said Rummenigge.

“But the offer has to be important.”

Both Manchester United and Real Madrid were dominated to the glory of their various league last season and are ready to spend big this summer to put a better challenge for the title in the coming season.
