Arsenal are confident of sealing a deal Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira and Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno which will sum to around £46 million transfer fee.

It was reported that Torreira has agreed personal terms with the Gunners before the World Cup and Arsenal could wait after the tournament for the Uruguayan to put pen to paper since he is part of the Uruguayan World Cup squad.

Meanwhile it was reported that Benard Leo deal has been agreed and the goalkeeper could move swiftly to the Emirates after he missed out on a place in Germany's final squad.

The Standard adds that "should Arsenal get both deals across the line, the focus will shift to trimming the squad," and the Mirror says Southampton are among those interested in midfielder Jack Wilshere.

With Wilshere yet undecided on whether to stay after his contract runs out, Southampton boss Mark Hughes "has joined the race alongside West Ham, Wolves and AC Milan for the Arsenal midfielder.
